RMEA has its eye on the future for energy efficiency and is committed to creating new programs specific to the needs of our residents and businesses. As a customer of RMEA, you benefit from having cleaner, renewable electricity at competitive rates. But you can also benefit from lower carbon emissions, a more comfortable home, and lower utility bills through programs offered by RMEA.
Residential Solar Rebate Program
The Residential Solar Rebate Program seeks to encourage the installation of new solar power systems which will save energy and money, as well as increase the value of your home. RMEA’s Residential Solar Rebate Program offers an incentive of a one-time $500.00 rebate to any residential RMEA customer who installs a new solar system with a permit issuance date on or after May 1, 2018. This will result in lower out-of-pocket costs for your investment in upgrading to renewable energy efficient technology and reduce electricity bills.
CARE, FERA, and Medical Baseline
RMEA CARE, FERA and Medical Baseline customers save even more with RMEA. Customers enrolled in RMEA continue to receive their CARE, FERA, and Medical Baseline discount within their Southern California Edison delivery charges; there is no need to reapply with RMEA.
How to enroll?
Customers enrolled in RMEA continue to receive their CARE, FERA, and Medical Baseline discount within their Southern California Edison delivery charges; there is no need to reapply with RMEA. New CARE, FERA, and Medical Baseline enrollments or renewals must still be done through (SCE) Southern California Edison’s customer service center or website.
Peak Time Rebate (PTR)
SCE’s optional Peak Time Rebate (PTR) program is not available to RMEA customers. If you would like to keep this rebate, you must opt-out of RMEA. If you do not opt-out, and choose to receive electric generation services from RMEA, your account will be automatically removed from SCE’s PTR program effective with the transition to RMEA service in May 2018.
*Due to the small number of customers participating in SCE’s PTR program, affected customers were notified directly by mail.
